My reserach is focussed on modelling and applied experimental work in the physics and chemistry of freezing of biological environments. In modelling, I am interested in Biomolecular Simulations, utilizing Molecular Dynamics, Dissipative Particle Dynamics and Monte Carlo techniques. In my applied experimental work, I am interested in developing cryoprotectants for food and fundamental biological structures. I am a also a committed educator who has taught courses in Chemistry, Physics and Engineering departments. I am an avid promoter of science and science education at all levels in society.
